"May! Queen of blossoms,
And fulfilling flowers,
With what pretty music
Shall we charm the hours?
Wilt thou have pipe and reed,
Blown in the open mead?
Or to the lute give heed
In the green bowers?"
- Lord Edward Thurlow, May

May is here..and with it the promise of bright sunny days, warmer weather, and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.

Our World is ever -changing as we experience life “post-vaccine.” We are so grateful to now be able to have visitors, go out with family and friends for visits, and enjoy life in the new normal. Of course, we will still wear our masks, social distance, and wash our hands well…but this is a far cry from where we were last May. We're grateful for our health, the dedication of our staff, and the kindness, patience and support of our residents, families and friends as we have journeyed to this point together. Let’s celebrate!

On Saturday May 1st,we’ll enjoy watching the Kentucky Derby... along with a special dinner featuring great Louisville classic recipes. On May 5, th we’ll have a poolside Fiesta for our residents to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. May is also the month for remembering and honoring our Mother’s. We have so many lovely, kind and caring ladies’s like having many Mother’s every time we come to work! This month is a celebration of all our Mom’s, who do so much to make our lives richer and fuller.

We also honor our military, with Armed Forces Day, and remember those we have lost on Memorial Day this month. We hope to come up with even more fun things to do as we all work together to stay healthy and well.

Happy May!
